The Cycle of Increasing Sadness

‘The Cycle of Increasing Sadness’ is an animation short film piece based on the subject of mental health. Played on a loop, the film deals with the day-to-day life of an individual living with depression, showing the mundane activities of getting out of bed, going to the toilet, brushing teeth etc. I used mixed media; mono printing, stop-motion and rotoscoping to encapsulate the visual language of depression and the multiple layers of the condition.

This piece was exhibited in the ORIGINS Creative Arts Festival 2018.
